
Clay County Park
Located four miles southwest of Vermillion off Highway 50, is situated on the last natural stretch of the Missouri River. Enjoy 34 acres of pristinely preserved parklands of the vast and beautiful wilderness with breathtaking views. You will find camping facilities with electricity, restroom and shower facilities, several picnic areas, playgrounds and a boat launching area. Special features include volleyball courts, horseshoe court and three miles of paved nature trails that accommodates walking, bicycling and horseback riding. The nature trail showcases the vast diversity of the beautiful plant and wildlife and has a lookout area over the beautiful Missouri River. For information call 605-624-5571.

Directions to Clay County Park:
At the west edge of Vermillion, get on SD Highway 19 leading to Newcastle, NE. Turn right immediately onto Timber Road. Drive 1.7 miles. The Park entrance will be on your left. Coming from the west on Highway 50, turn south and drive through Meckling to Timber Road. Turn left and drive to the Park entrance. Turn right.

Lion's Park Campground
Located between Princeton and High Streets south of Cherry Street in Vermillion, is comprised of 17.32 acres. The beautiful park provides playground areas, lighted softball fields, picnic shelters, restrooms and camping facilities with electricity and sewage dumpsite.
